Storrs Hall, a luxury 4-star hotel in the Lake District on the shores of Lake Windermere, sits on 17 acres. Built as a Georgian Mansion, by Sir John Legard in the 1790s, the hotel still has many elements of the original romantic architecture.
There are eight different room layouts to choose from, and all of them have room service, free WiFi, and flat screen televisions. Many of them have spectacular views of the lake. The boathouse, which is a luxury retreat, has its own steam room, outdoor hot tub and a fire pit on the private terrace.
The website has online menus for the on-site restaurant, the Tower Bar, and what's available for afternoon tea.
