Working with moms, parent-teacher associations and after-school networks, Yamie Chess' math teachers have come together with United States Women's chess champion, Jennifer Shahade, to insure a bright future for K-8 math students from Denver to New York. Based on the west coast, Yamie Chess' math learning toys given children an inspiring new outlook on chess, wrapped up in a cartoon world, and delivered with credible, supportive math teaching that supports the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics Curriculum Focal Point standards.
