Groundhopper began as a spreadsheet kept by one supporter who wanted to remember which grounds he had actually been to. The web app grew out of that list. A user adds a match — teams, date, score, stadium — and the record updates on its own: an interactive map with routes from the home city, counters for stadiums, countries and kilometres, and a season-by-season history. Home fans who never travel get a separate view: a win–draw–loss record from their own stand and a reversed map showing which clubs came to play at their ground. The collection can be exported as a printed poster or a short video for social media. A section called Groundhopper Academy publishes practical stadium guides for visiting fans. The service is independent, has no advertising and does not sell user data; a free plan covers the basics, paid plans add posters and trip planning.
